Job summary

Disability North is seeking a part-time Personal Assistant in Gateshead to support a busy family with ADHD, autism and fibromyalgia. The role covers daily resets, meal preparation, laundry, organization, light admin, errands and occasional appointments.

You will be proactive, reliable, and respectful in a private home setting. Must have permission to work in the U.K.; weekend availability may be required; driving would be a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have permission to work in the U.K.
• Experience supporting families or children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily Reset & Meals: manage kitchen and dining area, basic meal prep or batch cooking.
• Laundry Management: wash/dry/fold, organize clothes for the family.
• Organization & Planning: assist with weekly planning, maintain simple toy systems, low-stress environment.
• Flexible Admin & Errands: light admin, scheduling, forms, collecting prescriptions.
• Occasional Outings: accompany on appointments or errands as needed.
• Bonus: driving with access to a car is a plus for nursery/school runs.
