Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• Current State licensure as an OT is required.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient’s ability to perform independent living skills.
• Designs the plan of care and frequency of treatment.
• Documents progress and modifies the plan as needed.
• Educates patient and family about deficits.
• Plans/discharges patients from therapy services.
• Oversees OT assistants and technicians.
• Provides information on adaptive equipment and support programs.
