Overview and Opportunity

We are working with our long-term client in their search for an experienced Private Wealth Solicitor in Islington, with a minimum of 6+ years PQE.

Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for managing your own caseload, acting for a range of clients, including HNW individuals and business owners.

You will have strong knowledge in all aspects of wills, probate, estate administration and trusts. Expertise in deputyship and court of protection is advantageous, but not essential.

Role Responsibilities

• Advising on a wide range Private Client Matters, including but not limited to Wills, IHT and Estate Planning , trusts drafting and administration, Probate, Administration of Estates, Lasting Powers of Attorney;
• Contributing to the development and implementation of the departmental strategic plan to drive business growth;
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with current/prospective clients , referrers and stakeholders and enhancing the firm’s profile;
• Contributing to business development including, presentations and training events, articles/newsletters, Chambers & Legal 500 submissions, etc.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 6 years + PQE within a Private Client department, ideally as an Associate or Senior Associate;
• Previous experience and expert knowledge of the Private Client sector is essential;
• Previous experience of advising on complex/high net worth Private Client matters, particularly Wills and Trusts;
• Experience of handling large projects and business development activities;
