Job summary

A leading law firm in Exeter seeks an experienced Private Wealth Associate/Senior Associate to join their private wealth team. The successful candidate will work on a variety of Private Client matters, including wills, trusts, and estate administration. This role offers a market leading salary, competitive benefits, and opportunities for professional development within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Around 6 years PQE in Private Client work from a reputable firm.
• Strong technical and communication skills are essential.
• STEP qualification is desired but not essential.
• Must be able to independently manage a caseload while training and supervising junior team members and contribute to business development.

Responsibilities

• Estate and asset protection planning.
• Drafting wills, including tax-efficient options and trusts.
• Creating and advising on onshore trusts.
• Probate and estate administration.
• Managing powers of attorney and Court of Protection matters.

Overview

Private Wealth Associate/ Senior Associate

Exeter

Chadwick Nott have recently received instruction from a highly regarded and leading South West law firm, who boast a strong presence both in the UK and internationally. This award-winning firm are looking for an experienced Private Client Senior Associate/Associate to join their growing private wealth team.

As part of their national team, you will have the opportunity to work with international, HNW and UHNW clients and develop your career alongside leading Private Client Lawyers. The work will span the full range of Private Client matters including complex wills, probate, trust and estate working with a range of clients, from families and individuals to trustees and advisory firms.

Responsibilities

• Estate and asset protection planning
• Drafting wills, including tax-efficient options and trusts
• Creating and advising on onshore trusts
• Probate and estate administration
• Powers of attorney and Court of Protection matters

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have around 6 years PQE and a solid grounding in Private Client work from a reputable firm. Strong technical and communication skills are essential. Whilst STEP qualified is desired, it is not essential.

You must be able to independently manage your own caseload whilst providing training and supervision to junior team members and can expect to play an active role in business development.
