Job summary

Broxtowe Borough Council in Beeston is seeking two Private Sector Housing Officers to deliver a range of services including HMO licensing, private sector housing enforcement, and caravan site licensing.

You should have a local authority housing background or enforcement experience and hold a degree/diploma in Environmental Health or an HNC in Housing Practice. HHSRS competency is highly desirable for this role.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Environmental Health, or an HNC in Housing Practice (or equivalent).
• Experience in a local authority private sector housing setting or enforcement.
• Competency in Housing Health and Safety Rating System and associated legislation is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO) and caravan site licensing.
• Support private sector housing enforcement and related regulatory duties.
• Contribute to delivery of a broad range of private sector housing services.
