London CIV is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2025, having launched as a dedicated LGPS investment pool with approximately £52bn AUM. The organization aims to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance value through collective investment strategies. It complies with the Government’s LGPS ‘Fit for Future’ standards and is evolving to handle more Partner Fund assets, providing strategic investment advice and management.
London CIV is committed to sustainability and aims to develop a sustainable plan for the LGPS schemes across England and Wales.
Role: Reporting to the Head of Private Markets, the Portfolio Manager will oversee private market funds across asset classes such as private credit, private equity, infrastructure, natural capital, and real estate. The role involves managing approximately £3.4bn in commitments and £1.7bn in assets drawn, with opportunities for career growth and impact.
The ideal candidate will have experience in private markets, understanding private equity, credit, or infrastructure investments, and be familiar with asset allocation, portfolio construction, valuation, performance reporting, and risk monitoring. Hands-on research and due diligence skills are essential, along with the ability to integrate responsible investing strategies.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are required to build positive relationships internally and externally. Applications from diverse backgrounds are welcome, reflecting an open and supportive culture.
