About our client

PER has partnered with a highly successful growth equity investor that is looking to hire a Portfolio Finance Lead with FP&A experience during an exciting growth phase. This growth hire will be responsible for financial analysis, cash management, performance monitoring, and providing commercial finance support across the portfolio. The role involves partnering with portfolio finance teams to establish robust financial controls and KPI management, supporting the investment process through commercial financial due diligence on new acquisitions, and managing relationships with vendors to drive the commercial finance roadmap.

What the job involves

• Partner with portfolio company CFOs and finance teams to guide them through scale-up challenges, ensuring best practices.
• Collaborate with transaction leads and portfolio executives to implement KPI reporting and track these through internal metrics and MI reporting.
• Ensure growth plans include realistic capital allocations for the development of the portfolio finance team.
• Analyze portfolio finance controls and support teams in implementing change and growth initiatives.
• Assist in financial analysis of strengths and opportunities within new assets.
• Proactively monitor portfolio financial statements and drive necessary changes.
• Oversee cash levels within portfolio companies and plan cash strategies for protection or fundraising.
• Manage internal reporting and analytics frameworks to support decision-making on portfolio performance versus plans.
• Maintain the internal database of financial information, working with external providers to ensure accuracy.
• Enhance MI with portfolio finance teams to support strategic value-building decisions.
• Onboard new portfolio finance teams, ensuring system and technology integration.
