Job summary

M&G plc is seeking a Fund Accounting Oversight Specialist for Private Markets (UK) to oversee NAV processes and fund financial reporting. The role ensures accurate outputs from TPAs, strengthens governance, and supports regulatory and structural changes across fund accounting and oversight functions.

You will partner with onshore, offshore and India-based teams, drive continuous improvement, and provide SME insights on fund structures and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of fund regulations, risk and control frameworks, and accounting standards across jurisdictions.
• Expertise in NAV components, fund pricing, and workings of investment funds.
• Knowledge of diverse fund structures (Section 110, LP/GP, FCP, RAIF, ICAV, QIF, ELTIF, LTAFs).
• Understanding of fund accounting regulations in Ireland, Luxembourg, and the UK.
• Experience with complex assets and valuation methods (private equity, private debt, derivatives, fixed income).

Responsibilities

• Deliver NAV oversight and fund financial reporting oversight activities.
• Work with onshore and offshore partners, including India-based colleagues.
• Carry out BAU oversight across complex areas within financial reporting, fund accounting and NAV oversight.
• Act as subject matter expert for fund accounting oversight, including Fund, Financial Reporting and Costs & Charges.
• Perform error and risk validation, analyze control failures, support remediation activity and investigations.
