Job summary

Northern LGPS is seeking a Senior Fund Controller - Private Markets to own end-to-end fund control for its private markets exposure, including capital calls, distributions and GP reporting. The role spans fund accounting, tax data, and regulatory documentation, supporting a growing FCA-regulated investment management capability.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated private markets fund accounting experience on GP or LP side.
• Detailed knowledge of capital calls, distributions, capital accounts and unfunded commitments.
• Experience reconciling GP capital accounts and challenging GP-reported figures.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end fund control for Northern’s private markets exposure, including capital calls and distributions.
• Oversee GP notices, subscription docs and investor onboarding materials.
• Maintain capital accounts and reconcile GP statements; monitor equalisation and carried interest reviews.
• Support NAV oversight, fund audits and regulatory data requirements.
• Document and transfer private markets knowledge to strengthen operational resilience.
