Job summary

Northern LGPS is seeking a Senior Fund Controller - Private Markets to own end-to-end fund control of its private markets exposure, including the Northern Private Equity Pool and alternatives portfolios. You will manage capital calls, distributions, capital accounts and GP reporting, with oversight of tax and regulatory data for these investments.

Based in one of our offices (Bradford, Manchester or Liverpool), you will work in a flexible, hybrid environment, collaborating with Fund Control,

Qualifications

• Strong private markets fund accounting experience and knowledge of operational and accounting requirements.
• Experience within a FCA-regulated financial services firm.
• Familiarity with capital calls, distributions, capital accounts and carried interest.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end fund control for private markets investments and related capital activity.
• Review GP notices, investor onboarding docs and KYC/AML packs.
• Maintain capital accounts, unfunded positions and look-through data.
• Coordinate US tax status documentation, FATCA/CRS classifications and tax filings.
• Support fund audits, financial statement process and governance reporting.
• Ensure robust controls and document knowledge transfer for resilience.
