Job summary

Northern LGPS seeks a Senior Fund Controller - Private Markets to own end‑to‑end fund control of private markets exposure, including capital calls, distributions and GP reporting. You will work closely with Fund Control, Treasury and investment teams to strengthen the operating model and governance.

The role requires FCA-regulated fund accounting experience, detailed knowledge of private markets structures, and a collaborative, resilient approach to build long‑term capability.

Qualifications

• Experience in FCA regulated financial services.
• Private markets fund accounting on GP or LP side.
• Capital calls, distributions, capital accounts, unfunded commitments, waterfalls.
• Experience reconciling GP capital accounts and challenging GP figures.
• Familiarity with limited partnership agreements and related obligations.

Responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day fund control for private markets investments.
• Receive and validate capital call notices against LPAs; issue funding instructions.
• Manage distributions and drawdown tracking against commitments.
• Oversee GP notices, subscription docs and KYC/AML packs.
• Maintain capital accounts including unfunded positions and remaining commitments.
• Support NAV oversight, audits and data for regulatory purposes.
