Job summary

Northern LGPS is seeking a Manager - Fund Control to lead the function safeguarding fund-level accounting integrity and provide independent NAV oversight of the external administrator’s outputs.

Based at one of our offices in Bradford, Manchester or Liverpool, you will drive robust controls, ensure correct reconciliation, and work with Investing Operations, Finance and Compliance to shape the future operating model for long-term investment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Experience overseeing NAVs and challenging outsourced administrators.
• FCA-regulated financial services experience or willingness to operate in that environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Fund Control as a technically capable oversight function, maintaining the integrity of fund-level accounting and providing effective challenge to external providers.
• Own the review of administrator-produced NAVs against documented controls and tolerance thresholds, ensuring each NAV is reviewed and signed off.
• Oversee expense accruals and independently recalculate management fees, performance fees and carried interest before payment authorisation.
• Manage the day-to-day relationship with the fund administrator and maintain robust input into third-party oversight arrangements.
• Lead and develop the Fund Control team, with a target structure of seven direct reports.
