Job summary

Patria Investments in Europe is seeking an experienced Associate to join the GPMS European team, based in Edinburgh or London. You will evaluate private equity opportunities, manage transaction work across the lifecycle, and contribute to origination and fundraising under senior guidance.

Fluent English is required; working knowledge of German is a plus. You will lead deal execution, manage GP relationships, mentor juniors, and prepare client materials while helping shape growth strategies for

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading the full indirect private equity transaction lifecycle.
• Fluent English; working knowledge of German is a plus.
• Strong IT literacy including Excel modelling, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to self-motivate, manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and delegate effectively.
• Strong people management skills.
• Strategic thinker with attention to detail.
• Strong numeracy in a commercial context.
• Adaptable in a growth-focused business.

Responsibilities

• Execute private equity investments across the full lifecycle with sound judgement.
• Lead deal execution, due diligence, analysis and project management with oversight from seniors.
• Originate opportunities and contribute to sourcing for primaries, secondaries, and co-investments.
• Manage GP relationships and portfolio oversight with macro and sector insights.
• Support fundraising activities including investor meetings and product development.
• Deliver high-quality client reporting, diligence responses, and pitch materials.
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Contribute to the broader business through cross-functional initiatives and deal flow.
