Job summary

Pearse Partners Ltd, a well-established global mid-market private equity investor, is seeking an Associate for its European team. This role supports an active deployment across Europe and builds the platform for growth with a lean, high-ownership team.

You will work across the full investment cycle, from origination and screening through to execution and exit, while building robust financial models and presenting investment views to committees.

Qualifications

• c.2 years in M&A / investment banking, ideally from a top-tier advisory platform
• c.2 years in private equity, with live transaction experience
• Fluency in at least one European language alongside English (German, French, Italian, Spanish or Nordic languages particularly valued)
• A genuine interest in working across European markets and cultures
• Strong modelling and analytical skills, combined with commercial judgement
• A hands-on, entrepreneurial approach and the ability to thrive in a lean, high-ownership team

Responsibilities

• Working across the full investment cycle, from origination and screening through to execution and exit

• Preparing investment committee materials and presenting views on opportunities
• Supporting financing and structuring work alongside senior team members
• Working closely with portfolio company management teams on value-creation plans, add-on acquisitions and strategic initiatives
• Covering deals and assets across multiple European markets, with regular cross-border exposure

Job description

I’m delighted to be partnering with a well-established global mid-market private equity investor on the hire of an Associate for its European team.

With a recent fundraise, the firm is entering an active deployment phase and is building out its European platform. Europe is a core priority for the business, with a strong pipeline of opportunities across the region and a lean team where Associates take on real responsibility early.

The role:

• Working across the full investment cycle, from origination and screening through to execution and exit
