Job summary

GIC Private Limited in London is seeking an Associate for the Funds & Co-investments Group to assess and execute private equity commitments and co-investments across strategies, countries and industries. You will present investment proposals to Investment Committees, monitor relationships with managers, and engage with PE leaders at meetings and on special projects to shape portfolio construction.

Qualifications

• A strong academic background or equivalent practical experience.
• Work experience at a leading investment bank, consulting firm, in the Private Equity industry or equivalent experience.
• Exposure to the Private Equity industry is preferred.
• Excellent financial analysis and modelling skills.
• Strong commercial judgment.
• A team-player, with integrity and the ability to engage with senior counterparties.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Well-organised, hard-working, self-starter, with an ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Work predominantly as part of small deal teams to assess and execute Private Equity fund commitments and co-investments across various strategies, countries and industries.
• Present and defend investment proposals to Investment Committees.
• Help monitor and maintain relationships with existing managers and source potential new fund managers.
• Represent GIC at fund managers’ annual investor meetings and participate in meetings with the leaders of PE firms and the management teams of prospective co-investments.
• Work on special projects typically related to strategy, portfolio planning and portfolio construction.
