Job summary

Rutherford seeks an ambitious Associate for its Private Equity practice in London. You will work with leading partners on high-value sponsor-side M&A and cross-border investment transactions across Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific, gaining exposure to multi-jurisdictional deals.

The role offers direct exposure to senior partners, rigorous training, and a platform with strong international deal flow. Excellent academic record and UK qualification are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with E&W or Common Law recognition.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• UK market experience required.

Responsibilities

• Advise on leveraged buyouts, acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures for sponsors and portfolio companies.
• Manage the full lifecycle of transactions including structuring, due diligence, drafting and negotiation.
• Support cross-border financings, carve-outs and take-private deals across multiple jurisdictions.
