Job summary

Rutherford is seeking a Corporate Private Equity Solicitor in London with 2–6 years of PQE to work on headline matters within a growing practice. The role offers partner contact, client exposure and responsibility on leveraged buyouts, private M&A and cross-border transactions.

Ideal candidates will have experience at a leading City, international or US law firm, strong drafting skills for SPAs and shareholders’ agreements, and a collaborative, proactive approach to deal workstreams.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2–6 years’ PQE in corporate law.
• Strong private equity and private M&A experience.
• Experience at a leading City, international or US law firm.
• Confidence drafting and negotiating key transaction documents.
• Experience managing deal workstreams and working directly with clients.

Responsibilities

• Leveraged buyouts, acquisitions and disposals.
• Private M&A and cross-border transactions.
• Minority and growth investments.
• Co-investments, joint ventures and structured equity arrangements.
• Drafting and negotiating SPAs, shareholders’ agreements and other key transaction documents.
• Coordinating international and multidisciplinary deal teams.
