Job summary

The Town House Dental Practice in Tunbridge Wells is seeking an ambitious candidate to move from dental nursing or reception into a Practice Manager role. This full-time position combines management and reception duties within a private two-surgery practice, with mentoring from an Area Manager.

No prior practice management experience is required, as leadership, organisation, and patient-care focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Nurse, Head Dental Nurse, Dental Receptionist, or within a dental practice environment.
• A desire to progress into a management role.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• A proactive and positive attitude.
• Confidence in dealing with patients and supporting team members.
• Good IT skills and administrative abilities.
• Understanding of private dental practice environments is advantageous.
• Leadership experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
• Assist with managing the reception function, patient journey, and appointment scheduling.
• Support rota planning and staff coordination.
• Help monitor practice performance and KPIs.
• Assist with staff training, onboarding, and ongoing development.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of CQC compliance requirements.
• Assist with managing patient feedback and complaints professionally and effectively.
• Monitor stock levels, place orders, and liaise with suppliers.
• Work closely with the Area Manager to identify opportunities for practice growth and improvement.
• Build positive relationships with patients, clinicians, and colleagues.
• Support the overall success and profitability of the practice.
