Job Description

We are seeking a talented newly qualified team member to join our Private Tax team in London, responsible for delivering annual tax compliance and planning work for a diverse portfolio of Trust clients.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be part of the delivery team handling client compliance, planning work, routine checks, and practice development. This role offers a great opportunity for a newly qualified tax professional to develop their career within a supportive and growing team.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality service to a portfolio of Trust clients
  • Manage all aspects of portfolio administration, including compliance, accounts, tax returns, and computations
  • Identify potential planning opportunities
  • Prepare reports for clients
  • Respond to client questions regarding trust tax affairs
Qualifications
Essential
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Strong written communication skills for drafting correspondence with clients and HMRC
  • Good interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and team members
  • Ability to meet deadlines and respond to client needs
  • Experience in supervising staff and supporting senior management
Education and Qualifications
  • ACA/CTA/STEP or equivalent qualification (preferred)
Experience and Skills
  • Experience within a professional services firm
  • Knowledge of personal tax compliance, with some exposure to planning/advisory work
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective client and team interaction
