Job summary

Pro-Tax in Liverpool is seeking a Private Client Tax Senior with a focus on Trusts and Estates to join their growing regional practice. The role combines technical challenge with a supportive environment and hybrid working.

You will manage self-assessment returns for individuals, trusts and estates, ensure Trust Registration compliance, liaise with HMRC, build client relationships and support the Senior Manager on advisory tasks.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of relevant experience in UK personal tax, ideally with exposure to trusts and estates.
• ATT or STEP qualification preferred (support available for CTA).
• A proactive and client-focused approach, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Organised and able to manage your workload with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit self-assessment tax returns for individuals, trusts and estates.
• Ensure full compliance with Trust Registration Service and handle Inheritance Tax event reporting.
• Handle client and third-party correspondence, including communications with HMRC.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through consistent, high-quality service.
• Assist the Senior Trust & Estates Manager with ad hoc advisory and compliance tasks.
