Job summary

Pro-Tax Recruitment Limited is seeking a Private Client Assistant Manager in Liverpool with a focus on Trusts and Estates. The role sits within a dynamic tax team advising high-net-worth individuals, family estates and trusts.

You will manage the preparation and submission of self-assessment tax returns for individuals, trusts, and estates; ensure Trust Registration Service compliance; and handle HMRC communications while developing expertise in trust taxation.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of UK personal tax experience, ideally with exposure to trusts and estates.
• ATT or STEP qualification preferred (support available for CTA).
• Proactive and client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Organised and able to manage workload with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit self-assessment tax returns for individuals, trusts, and estates.
• Ensure compliance with Trust Registration Service and handle Inheritance Tax event reporting.
• Handle a range of client and HMRC correspondence, including communications with HMRC.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through high-quality service.
• Assist the Senior Trust & Estates Manager with ad hoc advisory and compliance tasks.
