Qualifications

• Strong private client tax experience within an accountancy practice or specialist tax firm.
• Confidence managing a client portfolio and reviewing personal tax compliance work.
• Experience delivering or contributing to private client tax advisory assignments.
• The ability to explain technical matters clearly and build lasting client relationships.
• Experience reviewing work and supporting the development of colleagues.
• This Private Client Tax Manager opportunity could suit an established Manager or Senior Manager, or an experienced Assistant Manager ready to take ownership of a portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 200-250 private clients and act as their main point of contact.
• Oversee personal tax compliance, reviewing returns and computations and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Advise clients on personal tax matters and work with senior colleagues on more complex planning assignments.
• Lead client meetings and identify where clients could benefit from further advice.
• Manage workloads and review colleagues’ work, providing practical feedback and technical guidance.
• Work with the directors to develop the firm’s private client tax services.
