Job summary

Pro Talent in Brighton is seeking an ambitious Private Client Tax Manager or Director to join a growing independent accountancy practice. The role focuses on managing private client portfolios, trusts and estates, with opportunities to provide advisory work and develop toward Director/Partner level.

The ideal candidate will have strong personal tax experience, ATT and/or CTA qualification (or ACA/ACCA with tax exposure), and a genuine desire to specialise further in private client work.

Qualifications

• Strong personal tax experience with private client focus.
• Experience advising on trusts and estates is a plus.
• Track record of building client relationships and business development.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private clients, trusts and estates with high service standards.
• Prepare and review self-assessment, partnership, capital gains and trust tax returns.
• Oversee administration of trusts, including cashbooks and distributions.
• Register trusts and estates with the Trust Registration Service.
• Support quarterly ITSA returns and HMRC disclosures.
• Develop bespoke tax advice and assist Directors with technical research.
• Coach junior team members and manage WIP and billing.
