Job summary

Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment is representing a well-established independent accountancy and business advisory firm seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Manager in Birmingham. You will manage a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, delivering compliance and advisory services across IHT, CGT, and income tax.

You will support the development of the tax team, build strong client relationships and contribute to the ongoing growth of the practice, with flexibility to work extra hours

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA and/or CTA with strong private client tax experience.
• Proven ability to manage client portfolios and deliver advisory work.
• Expert knowledge of IHT, CGT and Income Tax for individuals.

The Role

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to manage a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services across areas including Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Income Tax, Trusts and Estates, and International Tax.

You will also support the development of the tax team, build strong client relationships, identify advisory opportunities and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualified
• Strong experience in private client tax within an accountancy practice
• Excellent knowledge of personal tax planning, including IHT, CGT and Income Tax
• Experience managing client portfolios and delivering tax advisory work
• Strong communication, analytical and relationship-building skills
• Commercial, proactive and client-focused approach
• Able to commute to the Birmingham office and work additional hours when required
