Job summary

SeekMe, an independent accountancy and advisory firm, is looking for an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to lead a personal tax client portfolio, deliver compliance and advisory services, and help develop the tax team for growth.

You will specialise in personal tax planning across IHT, CGT and Income Tax, build strong client relationships, and identify new advisory opportunities, with flexible working options available.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering tax advisory work for high-net-worth individuals.
• Portfolio management experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of IHT, CGT and Income Tax.

Job description

An opportunity for an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to join an independent accountancy and advisory firm. The role involves managing a personal tax client portfolio, providing compliance and advisory services, supporting team development, and driving practice growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Client & Portfolio Management: Deliver compliance and advisory services for high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, landed estates, and private businesses.
• Tax Advisory: Handle personal tax planning across Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Income Tax, Trusts and Estates, and International Tax.
• Team & Practice Support: Help develop the tax team, build client relationships, and identify new advisory opportunities.

Key Requirements

• Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, and/or CTA qualified.
• Experience: Background in private client tax within an accountancy practice, managing client portfolios, and delivering tax advisory work.
• Technical Skills: Strong expertise in personal tax planning, including IHT, CGT, and Income Tax.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, relationship-building, and commercial skills.
