Job summary

Larking Gowen LLP in Norwich seeks a Private Client Tax Manager to lead the Private Client Tax team, delivering strategic tax advisory, compliance and planning for a diverse client base. You will supervise professionals, nurture client relationships and ensure high quality service while aligning with the firm’s values.

You will drive business development, recruit and develop staff, and act as a client-facing ambassador in seminars and meetings, contributing to growth and long-term capability.

Qualifications

• CTA, ACA, ACCA (or equivalent) with proven track record in private client tax.
• Significant practice experience with leadership and client-facing responsibilities.
• Strong business acumen and commercial awareness in a professional services firm.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax advisory services to clients, including managing tax compliance and planning projects.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their tax needs are met.
• Manage a team of tax professionals, driving growth and direction to maintain high-quality services.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant tax legislation and regulations.
• Lead client contact in place of the partner and oversee work planning across the team.
• Involvement in recruitment and development of team members; mentor junior staff.
• Drive business development, including referral networks, marketing materials, and seminars.
