Job summary

Pro-Tax in Reading is seeking a Private Client Tax Associate Director to lead high‑quality advisory work for HNW and UHNW individuals, families, entrepreneurs and business owners on personal tax matters.

You will advise across IHT, CGT, income tax, trusts, succession and estate planning, build trusted client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the private client practice while developing more junior colleagues toward Director and possibly Partnership.

Private Client Tax Associate Director - Reading

We're looking for an ambitious Private Client Tax professional to join our team as an Associate Director.

This is a role with a clear emphasis on high-quality advisory work, working with HNW and UHNW individuals, families, entrepreneurs and business owners on their most important personal tax matters. You'll advise across areas including IHT, CGT, income tax, trusts, succession and estate planning, building trusted relationships with clients and becoming a key part of their wider advisory team. You'll have the opportunity to work on interesting and complex assignments rather than being focused primarily on compliance. The team is stable, independently owned and non-private equity-backed, providing a long-term environment where you can develop your career without the short-term pressures often associated with PE-backed businesses. The Private Client practice is continuing to grow, creating opportunities to take on greater responsibility, develop your own client relationships and progress towards Director and potentially Partnership. You'll also play an important role in supporting and developing more junior members of the team, working closely with senior leaders and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
