Job summary

Insite Group in Birmingham is seeking a Private Client Tax Assistant Manager to manage a UK and international private client portfolio, delivering accurate UK tax compliance and high-quality advice. You will work with Directors, support junior staff, and liaise with overseas offices on cross-border matters.

The role offers exposure to residency and domicile planning, double tax treaties, and internationally mobile clients within a boutique practice environment.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in UK personal tax compliance.
• CTA qualified or nearing completion.
• Experience or interest in international private client tax matters, including residency, domicile, and double tax treaties.
• Exposure to internationally mobile or US-connected clients would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of UK and international private clients, overseeing UK tax compliance and delivering high-quality service.
• Prepare and review UK personal tax returns, identify issues and ensure accuracy.
• Support Managers and Directors on complex compliance and advisory assignments, including international tax planning.
• Supervise and develop junior team members and manage deadlines/workflow.
• Take an active role in portfolio management and day-to-day client relationships.
• Assist with advisory projects on residency, domicile, and cross-border tax issues.
• Liaise with international offices to coordinate advice across jurisdictions.
• Conduct technical research and develop sound judgement on complex tax matters.
• Build strong client relationships within a high-profile portfolio.
• Contribute to internal training and team development.
