Job summary

TPF Recruitment is assisting a growing accountancy practice in Chichester to recruit an Assistant Manager - Private Client Tax. You will own a diverse portfolio of private clients and deliver personal tax compliance alongside advisory projects, working closely with Partners and Directors.

You will provide technical guidance to junior members and help identify advisory opportunities while developing leadership skills in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• CTA and/or ATT qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Strong private client tax compliance knowledge with advisory experience.
• Experience managing a portfolio of private clients.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
• Collaborative approach with Partners, Directors and wider team.
• Interest in agriculture sector advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of private clients as a trusted advisor.
• Deliver high quality personal tax compliance for your portfolio.
• Contribute to private client tax advisory projects.
• Identify advisory opportunities within your portfolio.
• Support one-off compliance and advisory assignments as required.
• Attend client meetings and manage relationships and workflow.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge on tax legislation and HMRC policy.
• Ensure client work is completed within budgets and standards.
• Supervise junior team members and provide feedback.
• Develop internal relationships across service lines.
• Take increasing responsibility for more complex client work.
