Job summary

Butler Rose Public Practice is recruiting a Private Client Tax Assistant. This role supports a busy Personal Tax team, handling Self-Assessment returns for individuals, directors and business owners, and working closely with a Tax Senior.

Ideal candidates are ATT qualified or studying, or have relevant experience, with strong organisation and strong communication to deliver compliant tax work and build good client relationships.

Qualifications

• ATT qualified, ATT studier or qualified by experience
• Experience in UK personal tax is essential
• Good understanding of Self-Assessment tax compliance
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Confident communicator with proactive client focus

Responsibilities

• Prepare Self-Assessment tax returns for individuals, directors and business owners
• Assist Personal Tax Senior with tax compliance and advisory work
• Liaise with clients and HMRC to resolve queries
• Assist with tax planning projects where appropriate
• Ensure work meets HMRC deadlines and quality standards
• Build strong client relationships through service and communication
