Job summary

ACCA Careers seeks an experienced Private Client Tax Assistant Manager for their Guildford office. The role focuses on managing a portfolio of private clients, delivering tax planning advice and ensuring accurate tax compliance.

You will assist with tax returns, communicate with HMRC, and contribute to the growth of the tax department while mentoring junior staff and upholding high standards of service.

Qualifications

• CTA/ACA qualification or equivalent taxation qualification.
• Proven experience in a private client tax role within professional services.
• Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and regulatory framework.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private clients and ensure tax compliance.
• Provide tax planning advice and strategic solutions for clients.
• Assist with preparation of tax returns and computations.
• Correspond with HMRC and other tax authorities on client matters.
• Contribute to development of the firm's tax department and mentor junior staff.
• Ensure timely delivery and accuracy of all work, meeting deadlines.
• Engage in business development activities to grow client base.
