Job summary

QED Legal is supporting an established and growing law firm to recruit a Private Client Solicitor or Qualified Fee Earner in Dewsbury. The role offers varied exposure to Wills, LPAs, estate administration and trusts with strong client contact and development opportunities.

The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload from instruction to completion, supervise junior fee earners, and contribute to billing and business development across branches.

Qualifications

• Solicitor or Qualified Fee Earner with around 3-4 years' Private Client experience.
• Experience across Wills, LPAs, estate administration and trusts preferred.
• Strong organisational, commercial awareness and ability to manage own caseload.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to contribute to business development and networking.
• Comfortable using technology in a paper-lite environment.
• Client-facing with ability to build long-term relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied Private Client caseload from instruction to completion.
• Draft and advise on Wills and LPAs.
• Administer simple and complex estates.
• Draft Lifetime Trusts.
• Supervise junior fee earners.
• Billing, time recording and credit control on own matters.
• Keep clients updated and progress matters efficiently.
• Develop relationships with clients and external organisations.
• Contribute to business development, networking and marketing across branches.
• Provide cover across Dewsbury, Wetherby, Selby and Horsforth as required.
