Job summary

QED Legal is seeking a Private Client Solicitor or Qualified Fee Earner with around 3-4 years' experience to join a growing law firm. The role offers varied private client caseload including Wills, LPAs, and estate administration, with opportunities to handle Lifetime Trusts and supervise junior fee earners.

You will manage your own caseload from instruction to completion, maintain client relationships, and contribute to business development across Dewsbury, Wetherby, Selby, and Horsforth

Qualifications

• Solicitor or Qualified Fee Earner with around 3-4 years' Private Client experience
• Solid experience across Wills, LPAs, estate administration and ideally trusts
• Organised, commercially aware and confident managing own caseload
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable using technology in a paper-lite environment
• Enjoys client-facing work and building long-term relationships
• Keen to get involved in business development and networking
• Can provide guidance to junior team members

Responsibilities

• Drafting and advising on Wills and LPAs
• Managing both simple and complex estate administration
• Advising on and drafting Lifetime Trusts
• Managing own caseload from instruction to completion
• Supporting and supervising more junior fee earners
• Keeping clients updated and progressing work efficiently
• Taking responsibility for billing, time recording and credit control
• Building relationships with clients and external organisations
• Getting involved in business development and networking across branches
