Job summary

BWF Legal Recruitment seeks an experienced Private Client Lawyer for a boutique City firm with a Kent office. The role covers a wide range of private client matters for a high-net-worth clientele, including wills, trusts, probate, LPAs and cross-border tax planning.

The successful candidate will advise on offshore trusts, UK tax planning, care home fees, and related family matters, guiding clients with empathy through complex legal and tax scenarios.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in domestic and international private client matters (Wills, Trusts, Probate, LPAs).
• Ability to handle high net worth cases with complex estates and tax planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex and high-net-worth private client caseload across wills, trusts, probate, LPAs and related matters.
• Provide commercially-minded advice on asset protection, IHT and offshore trusts in a UK/International context.
• Support and fee-earning services to extended family, including home care fees and related matters.

Job description

Thisi s a role based our firms Kent office. This is a boutique City firm with a solid clientelle, who are looking to take on an experienced Private Client Lawyer to manage a complex and HNW caseload across all aspects of trust and estate planning.

The clients are generally London based, and to be considered you will have a wealth of experience to converse across domestic and international Private Client matters to include:

• Wills
• Trusts
• Probate
• LPAs
• Probate & Estate Management

The role will incorporate advice on assets protection, distribution and IHT, incorporating the benefits of off-shore trusts and associated UK and International Tax planning and tax havens. We are seeking someone who is commercially driven to also provide support and fee earning services to extended family, including Care Home fees, possible Bankruptcy, and divorce or separation relating to property and shares.

The role will require someone who is a clear communicator who can guide clients through complex matters with empathy, especially in dealing with tax planning after death, and mental capacity and legal conflicts that can occur outside the UK.
