Job summary

Clayton Legal is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor for an established practice in Harrogate. You will handle your own caseload, delivering high-quality client care within a supportive team.

You will work on Wills, trusts, probate, Court of Protection and inheritance tax planning while mentoring a Legal Assistant and contributing to business development and regulatory compliance. Excellent benefits accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years PQE in private client matters.
• Strong client care and relationship-building.
• Ability to manage own caseload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Team player who supports colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse Wills, trusts, probate and Court of Protection caseload.
• Provide clear, practical advice and update clients regularly.
• Ensure costs are communicated transparently.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with regulatory standards.
• Develop relationships with clients and referrers.
• Contribute to department meetings and initiatives.
• Support and supervise a Legal Assistant.
