We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Associate Solicitor to join a National Private Client Advisory team, right at the heart of Newcastle.

You’ll be advising high-net-worth individuals and families on complex, often sensitive matters – from estate and succession planning to tax and trust structures – while also helping us grow our presence in the North East.

This isn’t just another legal role. It’s your chance to shape strategy, build long-term relationships with clients, and become a trusted adviser in one of the region’s most respected firms.

What You’ll Be Doing

• You’ll be the go-to adviser for clients navigating major life and legacy decisions.
• Day-to-day, you’ll work on drafting complex wills, creating lifetime trusts, advising on powers of attorney, and managing estate administration.
• You’ll also handle intricate inheritance tax planning, guide clients through the tax implications of trusts and estates, and collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to provide a seamless service.
• You’ll work alongside some of the best in the business — and you’ll have the freedom and support to bring your ideas to life. Whether that means building new client relationships, attending local events, or mentoring junior team members, your voice will be heard.

Experience Required

• We’re after someone who brings both legal expertise and a commercial mindset. You might already be STEP qualified, or well on your way.
• You’ll need strong experience in private client matters, particularly when it comes to tax, trusts, and estates.
• You should feel comfortable handling complex client needs, while also being a great team player who’s happy to collaborate and share knowledge.
• An understanding of the Newcastle market is a big plus – we want someone who knows the region and is passionate about building connections here.
