Job summary

LJRecruitment is assisting a well-established law firm in Essex to recruit a Private Client Solicitor. You will manage a varied non-contentious Private Client caseload, advising on Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, LPAs and Trusts, and drafting related documents.

The role requires a solicitor with strong Private Client experience, capable of managing complex matters with minimal supervision while delivering practical, client-focused advice.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with Private Client experience.
• Strong experience in Wills, Probate and Estate Administration.
• Excellent drafting, communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied Private Client caseload independently.
• Advise on Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, LPAs and Trusts.
• Draft Wills, LPAs and other legal documentation.
• Handle estate administration from instruction through to completion.
• Provide clear, practical and sensitive legal advice.
• Build strong, long-term client relationships.
• Liaise with beneficiaries, financial institutions and third parties.
• Maintain accurate case management and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support junior team members where appropriate.
• Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a varied Private Client caseload independently
• Advising on Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, LPAs and Trusts
• Drafting Wills, LPAs and other legal documentation
• Handling estate administration from instruction through to completion
• Providing clear, practical and sensitive legal advice
• Building strong, long-term client relationships
• Liaising with beneficiaries, financial institutions and third parties
• Maintaining accurate case management and ensuring regulatory compliance
• Supporting junior team members where appropriate
• Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the department

About You:

• Qualified Solicitor and experienced in Private Client law
• Strong experience across Wills, Probate and Estate Administration
• Trusts experience would be advantageous
• Excellent drafting, communication and organisational skills
• Able to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Compassionate, approachable and confident when dealing with sensitive matters
• Strong commitment to client care and professional standards
