Job summary

LAW Absolute is seeking an experienced Private Client solicitor to head up the Private Client department in a remote-first role, covering the South of England. You will lead a growing team, manage a high-value caseload and advise UHNW clients, families and business owners.

Qualifications

Private Client Solicitor (Remote-First) | £70,000 - £100,000 | South of England

Are you a Private Client Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) or Private Client specialist looking for the opportunity to lead and grow a department while enjoying genuine flexibility?

We're working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm in a beautiful part of the South of England that is seeking an experienced Private Client lawyer to head up its Private Client offering. This is a rare opportunity to inherit a quality caseload, work with high-net-worth clients, and play a key role in shaping the future of the team.

The firm is operating a remote-first model for this role, with only occasional office attendance required, typically a couple of days per month for client meetings and team collaboration. They are also open to candidates looking to relocate and can offer support with relocation costs. On days in the office they can consider covering costs of travel.

The Role

• Lead and develop the Private Client department
• Manage a broad caseload of Private Client matters
• Advise high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners
• Handle wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, tax planning, succession planning and lasting powers of attorney
• Build upon an already successful offering and play a key role in the firm's continued growth

About You

• Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) or experienced fee earner with demonstrable Private Client expertise
• Ideally 5+ years' experience, although this is flexible for the right individual
• Comfortable running a full caseload with minimal supervision
• Experience dealing with more complex and high-value Private Client matters would be advantageous
• Ambitious, commercially minded and interested in developing a department
