Clayton Legal is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive for their Corby office. The role blends technical private client work with a strong emphasis on business development and networking to grow the firm’s client base across Northamptonshire.

You’ll manage your own caseload across Wills, Trusts, LPAs and estates, while building relationships with the Commercial team and pursuing cross‑selling opportunities. A rare chance to shape the private client offering in Corby.

I’m currently working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm who are looking to bring an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive into their Corby office.

This is a really interesting opportunity for someone who enjoys the business development side of Private Client work as much as the legal side.

The role would suit someone who is confident managing their own caseload but also enjoys getting out there, meeting people, building relationships and looking for opportunities to grow their network and develop new business.

The Role

You’ll be managing your own Private Client caseload independently, with the opportunity to work with clients across Northamptonshire.

Your experience will ideally cover:

• Estate and inheritance planning
• Wills
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Trusts

You’ll need to be technically confident and comfortable managing your own files without the need for supervision.

But this role is about more than simply running a caseload.

A big part of the opportunity is working alongside the firm's Commercial teams in Corby, building strong internal relationships and developing connections with their commercial clients.

The aim is to help grow the Private Client offering in Corby, so someone with a genuine thirst for Business Development will really enjoy this role.

Who are they looking for?

Ideally, you'll be a Solicitor or Legal Executive with 3+ years' PQE and have solid Private Client experience.

You’ll need to be:

• Confident managing your own caseload
• Technically strong across Wills, Probate, LPAs, Trusts and estate planning
• Commercially minded
• Comfortable networking and generating new business
• Proactive and entrepreneurial in your approach
• Someone who enjoys getting out there and making things happen

The Business Development side is really important here, so if you're someone who gets energised by meeting new people, building a network and developing your own client base, this could be a really good fit.

The Corby office is ideally positioned for those looking for an easy-to-reach, out-of-town location, with plenty of car parking directly outside the office.
