Job summary

Prosperity Law LLP seeks a senior private client lawyer to lead and grow the Manchester practice. You will develop your own client following, supervise a team, and work with marketing to drive referrals and revenue.

You will manage complex estates, trusts, and probate matters, targeting high-net-worth clients, while ensuring compliance with SRA rules and maintaining certificates.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor or CILEX practitioner in England & Wales.
• 8+ years PQE in private client.
• Established following of clients and/or referrers.
• Experience supervising fee earners.
• Track record of meeting financial targets.

Responsibilities

• Run a caseload of private client matters: wills, trusts, probate and estate administration, lasting powers of attorney, and estate and inheritance tax planning.
• Develop the practice: bring in the postholder's own clients and referrers, develop and grow new sources of work.
• Supervise and develop a team, including allocation of work, file reviews and appraisals.
• Set pricing and decide which matters the practice takes on.
• Work with the marketing function on enquiry generation, client reviews and referrer relationships.
• Contribute to cross-referrals with the family, residential property and wider teams.
• Meet the practice’s financial targets.
• Comply with SRA requirements, the firm’s risk, AML and file management procedures, and maintain a practising certificate.

Status: Salaried partner, full time

To lead, develop and grow Prosperity Law's private client practice in Manchester, developing it through the postholder's own following and business development, supported by our marketing department.
