Thblegal is seeking a Legal Assistant to join the private client team on a permanent, full-time basis in Shoeburyness. The role offers varied duties and training where needed, within a supportive team.

The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple tasks under pressure, with strong communication and client-care skills. Experience in private client matters is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience of private client matters desirable but not essential; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Daily scanning of post.
• General administrative tasks including filing and photocopying.
• Part secretarial support to fee-earning staff.
• Working on own initiative under fee-earners' supervision.
• Carrying out ongoing tasks as overseen by fee-earners including drafting day-to-day correspondence.
• Diary maintenance and setting and monitoring own diary notes.
• Managing administration processes for monies payable to or received from clients, suppliers and others.
• Maintaining and updating data using database applications.
• Answering the telephone and liaising with clients and other professional organisations.
• Adherence to office policies and procedures as set out in the office manual.
