Talentwise Solutions Legal Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive in Shirley, Solihull, offering a competitive salary commensurate with experience. You will handle a broad range of trusts, wills, and probate matters within a supportive firm culture.

Expect a role focused on client relationships, succession planning and capacity issues, with a busy caseload and clear progression opportunities in a well-established West Midlands practice.

Qualifications

• Must be a fully qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive.
• Approximately 3–5 years PQE in private client work.
• STEP qualification is preferred but not essential.
• Strong knowledge of trusts, estate administration, wills, powers of attorney and Court of Protection applications.
• Ability to manage a full and varied private client caseload.

Responsibilities

• Providing advice and guidance to clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious private client matters.
• Building and maintaining meaningful client relationships.
• Advising on wills, estate planning, inheritance tax and asset protection.
• Managing probate and estate administration from instruction to completion.
• Drafting wills, trusts and lasting powers of attorney.
• Advising executors, trustees, attorneys and beneficiaries on duties and responsibilities.
• Handling Court of Protection applications and deputyship matters.
• Providing advice on trust creation, administration and succession planning.
• Assisting clients with later-life planning, including capacity issues, liaising with financial advisers and other professionals.

What you ll be doing:

• Providing advice and guidance to clients relating to a broad range of contentious and non-contentious Private Client matters

• Assisting clients with later-life planning, including capacity issues.Liaising with financial advisers, accountants and other professional contacts to deliver comprehensive client solutions.

Who we re looking for:

Suitable candidates will have:

• Fully qualified status solicitor or chartered legal executive
• Around 3-5 years PQE
• STEP qualification (preferred but not essential)
• Good knowledge of trusts, administration of estates, wills, powers of attorney and court of protection applications
• The ability to manage a full varied private client caseload
