Job summary

Eventus Legal are seeking a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 2 years' PQE to join the Private Client team of a reputable regional law firm in Wirral, Merseyside. This is a full-time, permanent job position offering a varied caseload with a particular focus on high-net-worth Private Client matters and Court of Protection work.

Qualifications

• 2 years' PQE as a Solicitor or Legal Executive in Private Client
• Experience advising high-net-worth clients in Private Client matters
• Strong experience across Probate, Wills, Trusts, Estate and Tax Planning and Services for the Elderly
• Good experience of Court of Protection work
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• A proactive approach with a strong work ethic and self-starter mentality
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy caseload effectively
• Confidence in dealing with clients, professional contacts and external organisations
• Experience using Case Management Systems and Laserforms

Responsibilities

• Managing a diverse Private Client caseload, including high-net-worth matters
• Advising on Wills, Probate, Trusts, Estate and Tax Planning and Services for the Elderly
• Handling Court of Protection matters and providing advice to clients and their families
• Administering estates from instruction through to completion
• Managing client communications, enquiries and regular updates throughout matters
• Meeting clients both in person and remotely
• Liaising with the Probate Registry, courts, HMLR, HMRC, experts and other relevant agencies
• Proactively developing new work and nurturing existing business relationships
• Supporting the firm's wider business development activity within the Private Client market
• Working with the marketing team to produce relevant Private Client content and blogs

Role Responsibilities

This is a varied Private Client position offering the opportunity to manage your own caseload while contributing to the continued development of the department. Key responsibilities will include:

Person Specification

The successful Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive will be an experienced Private Client professional who is confident managing their own workload and delivering a high standard of client care. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

• 2 years' PQE as a Solicitor or Legal Executive in Private Client
• Experience advising high-net-worth clients
• Strong experience across Probate, Wills, Trusts, Estate and Tax Planning and Services for the Elderly
• Good experience of Court of Protection work
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• A proactive approach with a strong work ethic and self-starter mentality
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy caseload effectively
• Confidence in dealing with clients, professional contacts and external organisations
• Experience using Case Management Systems and Laserforms
• Flexibility to accommodate the needs of clients and the wider team
• Property-related Private Client experience would be advantageous
• A driving licence and access to a car would be desirable to assist with client visits
