Job summary

Motus represents an established Cheltenham-based firm with a strong private client offering. They seek a Private Client & Court of Protection Solicitor, NQ+ to join a partner-led, supportive team recognised as one of the best in the market.

You will handle private client matters including wills, estate planning, EPAs, LPAs, probate and tax work, and contribute to Court of Protection work for a portfolio of clients, including HNW individuals.

Qualifications

• Experience in private client matters with emphasis on wills, estate planning, EPAs, LPAs, probate and tax
• Exposure to Court of Protection work is desirable and a willingness to develop in that area
• NQ+ solicitors or equivalent with interest in private client and CoP work will be considered

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad private client caseload including wills, trusts, and estate planning
• Assist with Court of Protection work and capacity-related matters
• Work with a partner-led team to provide high-quality legal advice to clients

Our client is an established, well-liked firm in Cheltenham with an outstanding private client offering.

The firm is looking for a talented Private Client & Court of Protection Solicitor, NQ+ to join the team, which is partner led, supportive and independently recognised as being one of the best in the market.

You’ll join a Private Client team which advises on the full range of private client matters including wills, estate planning, EPAs, probate and tax work and acts for an established portfolio of clients including HNW individuals. The team also protects and managing the affairs of those with mental incapacity and has a growing reputation for Court of Protection work.

In this role, you’ll be dealing with a mix of private client matters including wills, trusts, estate planning, EPAs, LPAs and also Court of Protection work.

The ideal candidate could be an NQ Solicitor with a private client and/or CoP seat under their belt, or a qualified solicitor with around 0-2 years'+ experience in the same. You might also be a CILEX or similar and looking for a new challenge. The firm is particularly keen to talk to lawyers who display an interest in CoP work and in working with people who lack the capacity to make decisions for themselves.
