Senior Private Client Solicitor – Chelmsford, Essex

A highly regarded Essex firm is looking to add an experienced private client solicitor to its Chelmsford-based team.

The Role

You will manage a varied private client caseload from instruction through to completion, advising clients on wills, trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and deputyship applications, and administering estates and trusts. The emphasis is on clear, practical advice tailored to each client's individual circumstances.

You will build and maintain strong connections with clients and with accountants, independent financial advisers and other professional contacts, and play an active part in developing new business through networking. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the team, with the support of senior partners who bring deep tax expertise, and there is real scope to grow your own following.

Requirements

You will be a qualified Solicitor with at least 6 years' PQE, or equivalent experience, in private client law. Strong technical knowledge across wills, probate, trusts and LPAs is essential, along with experience of running your own caseload independently. You will bring excellent client care and relationship management skills, strong written and verbal communication, and the organisation and attention to detail needed to manage a busy caseload well.
