The role offers autonomy to run your own matters across wills, probate, trusts and tax planning, with an established client base and clear progression opportunities.

You will manage a varied caseload, build relationships with clients and referrers, and contribute to business development while delivering practical, client-focused advice.

Qualifications

Private Client Senior Associate

Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: £55,000 to £75,000

If you are an experienced Private Client Solicitor looking for your next step, this is a strong opportunity to join a highly regarded team in Wolverhampton with high-quality work, an established client base and genuine long-term progression.

Our client is looking to recruit a Senior Associate level Private Client Solicitor (6+ years’ PQE, or equivalent) to manage a varied caseload across wills, probate, trusts and tax planning matters. You will also play an active role in strengthening relationships with clients and professional referrers across the Black Country.

This role offers breadth, quality and autonomy. You will run your own matters, work closely with experienced colleagues and have the platform to build your profile through networking and business development. For the right person, there is clear scope to progress as the team continues to grow.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing a broad private client caseload, including wills and estate planning

• Handling probate and estate administration matters from instruction through to completion

• Advising on trust creation, administration and succession planning

• Drafting and advising on lasting powers of attorney

• Advising on inheritance tax planning and wealth preservation strategies

• Providing clear, practical advice and maintaining excellent client care throughout

• Building and developing relationships with clients, referrers and intermediaries in the local market

• Contributing to business development activity, networking and profile raising

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Solicitor (England and Wales) with strong private client experience (minimum 6 years’ PQE, or equivalent)

• Confident managing a varied caseload independently

• Strong technical grounding across wills, probate, trusts and estate administration

• Commercial awareness and genuine interest in networking and business development

• Excellent drafting skills, organisation and attention to detail

• Strong communication skills and a client-first approach

• STEP qualification is desirable, or willingness to work towards it
