Job summary

Insure Recruitment, on behalf of a well-established insurance broker, is seeking a Private Client Account Handler. You will manage a portfolio of private clients, ensuring tailored protection and a high standard of service while building trusted relationships.

The role offers a supportive environment, ongoing training and genuine career progression within a growing business. Hybrid working is available after training, with opportunities to develop Cert CII qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance, ideally with a broker, insurer, personal lines or private client environment.
• Experience handling household and motor insurance products.
• Experience managing renewals and mid-term adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Manage private client policies throughout the full insurance lifecycle.
• Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments and policy amendments.
• Support new business enquiries and prepare quotations.
• Review clients' insurance requirements and recommend appropriate cover.
• Liaise with insurers and underwriters to obtain competitive terms.
• Produce accurate policy documentation and correspondence.
• Build strong and trusted relationships with clients.
• Respond professionally to client queries by telephone and email.
• Identify opportunities to improve clients' existing cover.
• Introduce relevant additional insurance products where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and compliant client records.
• Ensure all work meets FCA and internal regulatory requirements.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business.

As a Private Client Account Handler, you will manage and support a portfolio of private clients, ensuring they receive suitable insurance protection and an exceptional standard of service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage private client policies throughout the full insurance lifecycle.

About You

To be considered for the Private Client Account Handler opportunity, you should have previous experience working within insurance, ideally gained within an insurance broker, insurer, personal lines or private client environment.

You may currently be working as an:

• Insurance Advisor
• Personal Lines Account Handler
• Private Client Advisor
• High Net Worth Account Handler
• Insurance Account Handler

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous insurance broking or insurer experience.
• Knowledge of personal lines, private client or high-net-worth insurance.
• Experience handling household, motor and associated personal insurance products.
• Experience managing renewals and mid-term adjustments.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail.
• A professional and consultative approach.
• Experience using Acturis or another insurance broking system would be advantageous.
• Cert CII qualifications or a desire to study towards professional qualifications.
