Job summary

Trethowans LLP in Winchester seeks an ambitious Private Client Solicitor or Lawyer with 5+ PQE to join our Private Client team. You will manage a broad range of private client matters and contribute to business development and network growth in the Winchester region.

The successful candidate will have strong technical expertise across private client work, excellent client relationships, and an established referrer network, plus a commercially minded, proactive approach to growing the practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or experienced Lawyer with 5+ years' PQE.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of private client matters including wills, estate planning, trusts, probate and LPA.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and act as a senior member in business development.
• Contribute to marketing and referral networks to grow Trethowans' Winchester presence.
• Provide guidance to junior lawyers and share expertise within the team.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality, client-focused service.

Trethowans is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Private Client Solicitor or Lawyer (5+ PQE) to join our highly regarded Private Client team in Winchester.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner looking to further develop their career within a progressive and growing firm. We are particularly interested in speaking with lawyers who have an established reputation in the market, a strong professional network, and can demonstrate a portable client following and/or established referrer network.

The Role

You will manage a broad range of private client matters, including:

• Wills and estate planning
• Trust creation and administration
• Probate and estate administration
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Inheritance Tax planning
• Advising high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners

As a senior member of the team, you will play an active role in business development, nurturing professional referrer relationships, and helping to further strengthen Trethowans' presence across Winchester and the wider region.

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or experienced Lawyer with 5+ years' PQE
• Have strong technical expertise across a broad range of private client matters
• Demonstrate excellent client relationship and business development skills
• Possess an established network of professional contacts and referrers
• Be able to demonstrate a portable client following and/or established referrer network
