Job summary

Handelsbanken is seeking a Private Banking Manager to join the Bromley and Croydon branch network. You will manage and grow a private banking portfolio, driving profitable business growth through proactive promotion of the Bank’s products and services.

You will attract new clients via referrals and engage with mortgage brokers and professional advisers, while working closely with Corporate Banking Managers. The role emphasises lending, wealth and deposit growth and strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a professional client portfolio (high net worth individuals, business owners, professionals).
• Understanding of lending processes and credit analysis.
• Ability to build long-lasting professional relationships and act as Handelsbanken ambassador.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow a portfolio of private banking customers through high-quality service and external networking.
• Build relationships with brokers, professional advisors and referral networks to sustain growth.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities across the bank’s products to tailor solutions for clients.
• Communicate Handelsbanken's value proposition and differentiate the bank to customers and partners.
• Evaluate financial information and lending proposals, applying risk-balanced decisions within policy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clients receive full Handelsbanken services.
