Job summary

AJ Bell is seeking an experienced Privacy Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day privacy operations within the Data Governance team. You will own operational delivery, ensure robust privacy controls, and coordinate DPIAs, ROPAs, retention, and data subject rights across the business.

You will collaborate with the Data Protection Officer, Risk and Compliance, and Technology teams to embed best practices, improve processes, and provide meaningful management information demonstrating regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience delivering governance and data management capabilities within a regulated environment.
• Experience coordinating DPIAs and Records of Processing Activities (ROPAs).
• Experience leading privacy operations and service desk workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational delivery of privacy management framework across the business.
• Coordinate DPIA process from initiation to review and approval.
• Maintain Records of Processing Activities with complete, evidenced records.
• Lead retention schedules and coordinate deletion with Data Owners and Technology teams.
• Support Information Rights team in data subject rights requests and data discovery.
• Operate processes to identify, locate and provide personal data for information rights activities.
• Coordinate erasure, rectification and restriction requests and track outcomes.
• Manage privacy-related service desk tickets and cross-team workflows.
• Develop data discovery and retrieval processes across systems and repositories.
• Produce management information on privacy operational performance.
